My name is Rachel and I live in a small town in Pennsylvania with my husband, two crazy girls and Caesar (our cat and only male child.) I worked in the Communications and Marketing field, as well as the educational field for a few years, but my true love is writing.
This blog came out of from my own experiences dealing with raising young children and anxiety. I have struggled with anxiety and depression my whole life and once Covid hit, it got out of control. I want to take the stigma out of mental illness and being a great mom. You can be a great mom, even if you have "off" days or lock yourself in the bathroom and have a good cry. It is okay and completely normal.
My goal is to have a large community of moms that support each other, share stories and even form friendships. I'd love to hear from you and learn about your own personal stories.
There are many ways to keep the support going! If you know of a good resource for depression, anxiety, post-partum depression or mommy burnout, I will add it to the resource page. I've also created a Facebook support group for the site.
Just remember, tough times are fleeting and you are not alone!
